Three styles of assays mats are offered to control the spread
of a variety of liquid laboratory waste. Each style has a label
to indicate any necessary disposal provisions. The Radioassay
Mat is clearly marked with the international
symbol for radioactivity. It isolates liquid waste, warns of the
presence of radioactive materials and helps to ensure proper
disposal.
The Biohazard Mat is marked with international
biohazardous symbol. It is used when working with body
fluids, tissue samples, pathogens or other biohazardous
materials.
The Assay Mat has no symbols; however, it can absorb
environ-mentally-safe liquids that that do not require special
disposal precausions.
All three styles are made of fire-retardant nonwoven rayon,
celulose filter and a water resistant polyethylene backing.
The mats are 17-3/4" x 23-1/2", a work tray is available for
use with the mats.
